The Ultimate Framing Experience

Building Clinic Mike Sloggatt

Presented by

Mike Sloggatt

The Ultimate Framing Experience Building Clinic is an immersive educational journey that covers everything from fundamental framing concepts to more architecturally advanced scenarios. Conducted by industry leaders Mike Sloggatt, Ryan Smith, Billy Dillon, Joe Canning, and Nielsen Crist, this intensive multi-part demonstration dissects and simplifies the mathematical and structural principles behind framing methods that stand the test of time.

When you attend this clinic, you will:

Understand the core principles that lead to a stronger, more accurate frame

  •  Identify materials and techniques that make life as a carpenter easier
  • Gain a clearer, more systematic approach to layout
  • Learn practical methods for framing floors, walls, and roofs efficiently

  • Learning to visualize Triangles
  • Drawing a roof kernel equals pitch
  • Intro to unequal pitch

Eyebrow Dormers

  • Move from common rafters to valley development
  • Explain how to look at which view and what it represents in each drawing
  • Explain valley bevel development and from where it is derived from

  • Show how we develop the curved shape of an eyebrow
  • Explain Ordinates and how they work
  • Start development of front profile and side profiles

Calculating and Cutting Roofs
